In the US, you can build a lot of power plants and coal-fired power plants.
But how do you do that without killing millions of people?
What’s the right way to build these things?
Here’s a guide to building a power plant in the United States.
Al Jazeera’s Alastair Leithead, reporting from New York, said the US could start with coal, then switch to natural gas and renewables, and then look at renewable energy and nuclear power.
“I think we’re going to see that coal will be the dominant form of power generation by 2040,” he said.
“It will be used more and more.”
Leitheads report from New Mexico and South Carolina.
