By Mike Molloy, Financial Post staff writerA new job posting for an engineering contractor in Ontario’s northern Okanagan Valley has generated plenty of attention.
The job posting asks for a video camera to record footage of the work being done and uploaded to YouTube and Facebook.
In a follow-up post, the company said it had added the video camera and that it would work with the employer to share footage.
The company has a “social media marketing team” with a team of four, including the video capture technician, said the posting, which was posted on a construction company’s website and was removed from the firm’s website Wednesday.
“The video capture is a big part of the job as the camera can be a key element of creating the video,” the posting said.
“Video footage can be used as a template for viral content, so this company is excited to be working with a company who has a great product to use on social media.”
The company did not respond to requests for comment.
